Please join LVHA and industry partners from across the destination on Nov. 30 for an overview of the Las Vegas Convention Center District project and initiatives to keep Las Vegas the world’s most desirable destination for business travel.

Las Vegas has held the title of the No. 1 trade show destination in North America for 23 consecutive years. In 2016, the destination experienced a record-breaking year for overall visitation after welcoming 42.9 million visitors. Las Vegas also reached an all-time high for business travel with 6.3 million convention delegates. The meetings, conventions, and trade show industry has a significant impact on Las Vegas’ local economy supporting 85,000 jobs and generating more than $12.4 billion in economic impact.

The future of the meetings industry is strong in Las Vegas, with many properties throughout the destination investing in new convention and meeting space. In June 2017, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) received final approval for the Las Vegas Convention Center District (LVCCD) project which includes the expansion and renovation of the Las Vegas Convention Center. This historic decision, supported by community and industry leaders throughout the state, will secure Las Vegas’ position as the world’s premier business destination for decades to come.
