Throughout her 24+ year tenure at MGM Resorts, Cruz has held a variety of executive sales positions both at the corporate level and on property including Mandalay Bay, Bellagio, ARIA and Park MGM among others.
Passionate about hospitality education, Cruz is an active board member for Tourism Diversity Matters, an advisory board member of PCMA USAC and advisory board member of Women Leading Hospitality & Tourism. She is also a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP).
Cruz is married with four fur babies. Her hobbies include golfing, driving fast cars and reading mystery novels.

Kim Kopetz is President and CEO of The Opus Group, a global network of event agencies (Opus Agency, MAS, and Verve) that creates experiences that drive action for the world’s most influential brands such as Google, Diageo, Microsoft, and Salesforce.

Kim started her career in events at the NBA and Nike, and joined Opus Agency in 1998 as a Senior Event Manager. She held several roles at Opus Agency, eventually as EVP Global Accounts. In 2012, Kim went brand-side, and held global leadership positions at Intel in sales and marketing, including Chief of Staff to the head of global sales and Senior Director of B2B Event Strategy. She returned to Opus in 2017, becoming Chief Growth Officer and supporting the acquisition and integration of seven agencies in two years. Kim was promoted to President of The Opus Group in 2020, and in 2024 assumed the role of President and CEO. Throughout a career spanning more than 25 years, Kim has been a leader in global experience and event marketing for both brands and agencies. She currently serves as a strategic partner to the Event Leaders Exchange (ELX) and as a member of the Exceptional Women Alliance (EWA). Her expertise has earned her many accolades over the years, including 2026 Smart Women in Meetings and the list of the top 100 most influential people in the event industry.

Since joining the organization’s Kansas City headquarters in 2014, Rob has been the driving force behind its success and relentlessly focuses on Bishop-McCann’s mission of creating JOY.
Before his tenure at Bishop-McCann, Rob served as the General Manager of Microsoft Business Solutions for Canada. Under his guidance, Canada transformed from being the bottom performer to the #1 in growth, employee satisfaction, and partner satisfaction for the organization. This achievement serves as a testament to Rob’s remarkable capacity to inspire others. He is widely recognized as an influential figure in sales, marketing, and leadership, and he has been invited to speak at numerous conferences, sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience.
Rob’s journey as an entrepreneur began at the age of 24 when he embarked on a venture in Las Vegas, establishing a donut franchise that flourished into a multi-unit operation before he ultimately sold it to Andre Agassi. Such early entrepreneurial accomplishments set the stage for his remarkable career trajectory.
Rob currently serves as Immediate Past Chair of the Board for MPI (Meeting Professionals International), leading the organization’s strategic vision. Since joining MPI’s IBOD in 2020, he has also held key roles, including Chair of the Board, Finance Chair and IBOD liaison for Anti-Human Trafficking. In early 2022, he joined the Canadian Advisory Council, which further demonstrated his dedication to the industry.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Rob remains engaged in YPO International (formerly Young Presidents’ Organization) and nurtures a passion for travel and discovering new culinary experiences. Moreover, he served on the Kansas City Big Brother Big Sisters Board of Directors for four years, making a lasting impact in the lives of others, and for the past 13 years, he has been a steadfast mentor and Big Brother to Jorge.
